Sikh National Collegiate School, Qadian Celebrates 22nd Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony with Zeal

Qadian, 30 January (Zeeshan) -
The 22nd Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of Sikh National Collegiate Senior Secondary School, run under the management of the Sikh Educational Society, Chandigarh, was held with great enthusiasm at the school auditorium under the leadership of Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal.

The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Sarghi, a renowned Punjabi storyteller, writer and Head of the Punjabi Department at Sarup Rani Government College, Amritsar. The function was presided over by S. Kashmir Singh Boparai, Secretary of the Local Management Committee.

Distinguished guests present included SGPC Member Jathedar Surjit Singh Tugalwal, former Punjab Agro Chairman S. Tirlok Singh Bath, retired S.E. (PSPCL) Er. Satnam Singh Butter, Advocate Baljinder Singh Riar, and retired Professor Kulwinder Singh, among many other eminent personalities.

The  guest was warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal, School In-charge Lecturer Ramanjit Kaur, and the school staff.

The program commenced on a spiritual note with Shabad Kirtan recitation by students Pavneet Kaur, Navjot Kaur, Lovepreet Kaur, and Komalpreet Kaur. Lecturer Ramanjit Kaur presented the annual report highlighting school’s achievements. More than 100 students were honored with awards for excellence in various academic and co-curricular fields.

Addressing the students, Dr. Sarghi emphasized the values of hard work, self-reflection, and respect for teachers and parents. Secretary Kashmir Singh Boparai highlighted the institution’s role in promoting academic excellence and overall personality development. Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal expressed gratitude to all guests and participants for making the event successful. The cultural program featured folk songs, group singing, and concluded with a vibrant Giddha performance.

Other notable attendees included former District Education Officer Amarjit Singh Bhatia, Chief Engineer Narinder Singh Sidhu, Dr. Amarjit Singh, former Professor Sukhwinder Kaur Padda, former Professor V.K. Gupta, former Sarpanch Aparjit Singh Ghumman, Chaudhary Akram Gujarati, Amrit Riar, Parminder Singh Padda, Jagpreet Bath, Headmaster Jaspal Singh Kahlwan, Madam Jasbir Kaur, along with parents of students and teaching and non-teaching staff. The stage proceedings were conducted by Lecturer Anamika.
