Qadian, May 7 (Zeeshan) - On Saturday, Mother's Day celebrations were held in schools, with songs, poems and creative art forms to pay regards to women who are raising children and shaping them as a good person.
Sikh National Collegiate Senior Secondary School, Qadian, under the guidance of the school principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal organised the Mother’s Day celebrations. Where the artistic competitions of school students were organized under the supervision of school's English teacher Simranjit Kaur.
To show love, gratitude and reverence towards their mothers, students took part in various activities including card making, poster making, slogan making, poems, songs, speeches etc during the Mother’s Day celebration. Students created art-and-craft items, greeting cards, wrote letters of gratitude and recited poems to pay homage to their mothers.
Here Gurleen Kaur, Kashish, Mehakpreet Kaur, Pawanpreet Kaur, Palakpreet Kaur, Harmanpreet Kaur, Kawaljit Kaur, Navdeep Kaur, Shivali, Ruhi, Muskan Kaur and Azadbir Singh participated in card making activity.
Ravinder Singh, Palak, Taranpreet Kaur, Sehajpreet Kaur, Amandeep Kaur, Gurpreet Singh, Jashanpreet Singh, Sukhpawanpreet Singh, Navpreet Kaur, Robinpreet Kaur and Sajanpreet participated in Poster making.
Rojanpreet Singh, Pawanpreet Kaur, Ruhi, Palakpreet Kaur participated in the speech competition. Similarly Gurleen Kaur, Shivani, Sehajpreet presented poems and sentimental songs dedicated to mother.
Teachers also motivated and encouraged the students in planning and preparing for the celebrations. On this occasion the school staff Amandeep Kaur, Daljit Kaur, Rituraj Kaur, Ravinder Singh, Balveer Kaur, Sahadh, Abdul Wasey, Amanpreet Kaur, Amtul Jameel Amira, Neeru Bala were present.
